Our member doctors are very concerned about your child's spinal health.
Poorly designed and or poorly fitting backpacks, and improperly loaded backpacks can adversly affect your child's health and well-being. A select number of our member doctors have volunteered to assist you in protecting your child's health, by examining the fit, weight and balance of your child's backpack. Many will also give a complimentary scoliosis screening to school age children.
The Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), one of the largest associations of its kind in the nation with almost 2000 members statewide, believes that backpack safety is a critical health concern that needs to be addressed. We take pride in the fact that so many of our member doctors volunteer their time to share their knowledge and expertise on a local level.
With the upcoming school year, heavy textbooks packed into your child's backpack is of great concern to your child's spinal health. Be prepared by allowing one of our member doctors assist you in choosing the right backpack, it may be one of the most important school supplies a parent can purchase for their child that pertains to his or her health and safety.
